Blackmagic Camera App Version 1.3
Less than a year ago, Blackmagic Design published the Blackmagic Camera App. Ever since, they have been regularly updating it, bringing in new features and refining older iterations. Blackmagic Camera 1.3 continues this trend by enhancing the app's useful features and stability.

Overview of the Blackmagic Camera 1.3

The ability to link earphones for audio monitoring is the first helpful feature added by this version. When shooting, we can monitor audio using wired or Bluetooth headphones. In keeping with the new capabilities, the update includes rack focus controls that let us adjust the lens focus while taking a picture. Now, we are able to switch between the three pre-set focus places. The iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro's Blackmagic Camera 1.3 also supports 48mm lenses, allowing us to steadily zoom in.

With smooth animation when switching between landscape and portrait modes, a faster project listing in the media tab, reduced latency on HDMI, and the ability to show clip name, reel, scene, and capture details on an external HDMI monitor while recording, the new version enhances the monitoring experience.
